About

Wild Habitat helps homeowners understand and improve the ecological potential of their property through site assessments and conceptual design guidance.Whether your interests include wildlife habitat, food production, ecological gardening, rainwater management, or overall landscape resilience, our role is to help you identify opportunities, clarify priorities, and make informed, practical decisions about your yard. We support the use of native species as well as non-invasive, beneficial plants that contribute positively to the local ecosystem.Wild Habitat does not offer landscape installation, construction services, or engineered plans. Instead, we focus on observation-based assessment, practical recommendations, and conceptual design ideas that homeowners can implement themselves or with contractors of their choosing.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I'm Briana.I started Wild Habitat because I believe residential yards and landscapes can do far more than look good—they can support wildlife, grow food, steward water, and build resilience over time.My background blends engineering, sustainability, ecological design, and years of hands-on gardening experience. Through Wild Habitat, I help homeowners identify ecological opportunities within their property and translate their goals into practical, achievable next steps.I hold a Master of Applied Science in Sustainable Energy and Policy from Carleton University and a Permaculture Design Certificate.
